Mrs. Joanne Mercier our Faith Formation Director has accepted a new position...

Mrs. Joanne Mercier our Faith Formation Director has accepted a new position at the Catholic
Collaborative of Taunton North. Her application was accepted and she begins her new position
shortly . We express our gratitude to her for her time among us especially in leading us through
the Pandemic Faith Formation year.

Her expertise was incalculable in setting up our live streamed masses. (We still need help in the
production process so if you are interested please call the office. This Mass was a comfort, and
still is for those who are unable to attend Mass in person).
We express our gratitude and pray for her, and wish her much success, good health and happiness in
her new position.

Linda DelVal who covered the office on Thursday has found new employment as well. Her position will
be filled by Coleen Lenihan who already works part time in the office.
Faith Formation
Faith Formation is of great importance in the life of our collaborative so we have endeavored to
act quickly as the new year approaches. We are very grateful to those who are willing to assist us
in the program this year as coordinators. We still need some to volunteer to teach. Please call the
office if you can assist.

The following are those who will assist us in our Faith Formation Program:

Cheri Jupin-Castro — Coordinator for grades 1-4 and responsibility for First Penance and First
Communion.

Amy Garman Rodgers — Director for Faith Formation including scheduling and
registration, book ordering, etc. and also
Coordinator for grades 5-7 and as well as Media Director for our live streamed Masses.

Walter Pires  —  Coordinator for our Confirmation Program and
responsible for the Confirmation retreat and ceremony.

As the Pandemic begins to lessen and
restrictions are being eased, the time has come
to have a "soft" opening of the Collaborative
churches that have been closed since the Pandemic began.
As of June 1st, St. Joseph - St. Therese and Our Lady of Fatima Churches will be available for any
parishioner to use to schedule funerals and weddings (scheduling will continue to be made through
the Central Office). St. Mary's will remain available for Funerals and Weddings also for any
member of the Collaborative. All other sacramental ministrations will remain at St. Mary's for the
time being.
It is hoped that we will have the assistance and collaboration of parishioners to make this happen.
Those who exercise the ministry of Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Acolyte or Musician can exercise
their ministry in any parish of the Collaborative. Ministry is for the service of the Church,
Collaborative, and not for a particular church building.
Thank you for your attention to this announcement.

Please remember in Prayer these four men who were ordained Transitional Deacons. God willing, they will continue their journey to the Priesthood and will be ordained priests next June:

A sincere word of gratitude to many of you...

A sincere word of gratitude to many of you who support your parish faithfully each week. Soon, you will receive a summary of the donations received in the calendar year 2020.Please remember all monies donated are given to each parish designated by the envelope. All loose cash donations, that are put in the collection bins not designated for any specific parish, are evenly distributed among all three parishes since all three parishes are using St. Mary’s Church.A financial summary was sent to the Core Committee this week. When a member was asked what he thought, he said, “it doesn’t look good.”Donations have plummeted since the Pandemic and the lack of funds is hurting each of our parishes. Please recall that each parish has expenses and cannot continue without the support of their parishioners. If you have not, but are able to assist your parish, please be as generous as you can. As you are aware bills need to be paid, even during a Pandemic. Again thanks to all those who assist with their donations, and a word of encouragement to others to please help.Be assured of our prayers for God’s blessings on each of youStay safe, stay well.Fr. Clarification concerning Masses and...

A message from your Pastors:

On occasion we receive some calls which leads us to once again clarify what may be confusing to some.

Due to the Pandemic, Masses and other Liturgical Celebrations are being held at St. Mary's.

St. Joseph-St. Therese and Our Lady of Fatima have not been closed. Neither have they   been   merged   with    St.    Mary's or suppressed. Each remains an individual parish.

Each parish receives all monies directed toward them and each parish also pays all its individual bills for utilities, insurance, music etc.

Please continue to be as generous as you can to your parish so there will be no need to dip into savings again. Shortly we will present to you a summary of our financial situation at this time. Thanking you for your generosity and praying that you stay safe and well.

Please pray for the soul of Rose Cabral, a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, who passed away this past Thursday. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10AM at St. Mary's Church.
May she rest in peace.

The decision has been made for St. Mary's Parish to purchase a more permanent set of cameras  to be able to live steam parish/ Collaborative events into the future. This will enable those unable to attend Mass to spiritually join us for Mass. This will be available for Weddings, Funerals, even special events like First Communion and Confirmation.

As you can imagine this is not an inexpensive commitment. Should anyone be willing to assist in defraying the cost of this initiative, which will greatly benefit our Collaborative, please be in communication with the Collaborative office (508-995-3593).

One of the benefits of the current pandemic has been to teach us how to reach out to others through various media platforms. Hope- fully, this initiative will assist us in bringing the message of God's love to many.

We will be celebrating First Communion for the Collaborative on the following dates: July 18; July 25; August 1; August 8; August 15.

All Masses will be at 11:00AM at St. Mary's Church. Parents can choose which date is best for their family. It will b on a first come first served basis. Parents should have already been contacted by Mrs. Joanne Mercier, Director of Faith Formation. All celebrations will be live-steamed and can be accessed through the collaborative website.

Pray for the young children of our community who will be approaching the altar for the first time. May the sacrament of the Eucharist sustain them and nourish their souls for all eternity.
